Lytro #lightfield at Zen Hostel

What caught me eye about what is now Zen Hostel was the lounge area.
I like to go the backroads and side streets to get to where I’m traveling to, I usually don’t take the main road.

A couple of years ago while driving from Tokyo, we were going to Senjogahara in Oku Nikko to hike.  While driving route 149, the view the Sun shining through some Japanese maple trees and the mountain between them struck me.

This is where the “Zen” in Zen Hostel is inspired from. The first photograph is a view from the lounge as seen with the Lytro Lightfield camera;

from this village of Nikko called Okorogawa (where the rivers meet), Black river flows south to Kinugawa and the bay of Tokyo.
