Nantai Mountain hiking trail head, Futarasan Shrine Torii (gate)

The Torii (gate) is directly across from the Futarasan bus stop. It serves at both the shrine’s entrance and as the trailhead to hiking Nantai Mountain.  This stop is included in the two-day unlimited Chuzenji bus pass for ¥2650. You can buy the pass at the Tobu Nikko train station or even better is to by the “All Nikko Pass” at Tokyo, Ueno or Asakusa stations in Tokyo.

There are many structures on the peak of Mt. Nantai.  If you are lucky, you will see Mt. Fuji from the peak of Mt. Nantai. They are 175 km from each other.
